Edinburgh is one of the Europe’s finest cities, often called ‘the Athens of the North’. It is the political and administrative capital of Scotland and a perfect centre from which to explore the spectacular Scottish countryside. There are lots of places to visit and things to do in Edinburgh: from the elegant Georgian New Town to the maze of wynds, closes and alleys of the Old Town, the historic Port of Leith to the famous Royal Mile stretching from Holyrood Palace to Edinburgh Castle, built on top of a volcanic rock with lovely views over the whole city.

Getting Around

Edinburgh is a compact city which makes it easy to move around. Most of Edinburgh’s top attractions are within 15 minutes’ walk fro EAC Edinburgh. There’s also an excellent public bus network including night service. If you buy a bus pass, you can travel around easily and cheaply.
