Activities & Excursions

Sightseeing Excursions

Both full and half day excursions are a regular feature of most EAC vacation programmes.

Excursion venues are chosen because of their importance to British history, culture or for their outstanding natural beauty.

Full day excursions take place each weekend and all students are supplied with a packed lunch for the trip. Half day trips take place during the week and all excursions are fully supervised.

Activities

When not in class, students can participate in EAC’s activity programme. These activities will vary according to the particular features and facilities of each specific centre but typically include a range of sporting activities, local visits, evening discos, karaoke parties and games evenings.

Multi Activity Centres

Selected EAC centres also offer Multi Activity programmes where an exciting range of activities such as archery, arts & crafts, performing arts and outdoor games are available. These centres are particularly suited to students aged 9-16 and are also attended by British children. As an alternative to multi activities, students can also elect to combine their study programme with specialised EAC Plus options including Football, Horse Riding, Art and Performing Arts.

For students studying at centres in Edinburgh, EAC offer the option to take a two day trip to the Scottish Highlands. On the following day students will visit Loch Ness then return to their centre via Glencoe in time for dinner.
