Ashford
Ashford - Ashford School
Residential ages 9 - 16
Ashford lies just south of a gap in the North Downs, a famous range of chalk hills responsible for Dover's White Cliffs. Ashford is a major terminus for the Channel Tunnel trains and has rapidly expanded as a result.
Originally Ashford was a market town based on farms on the Romney Marsh and was mentioned in the Doomsday book under the name 'Esselesford' in 1086. Old buildings remain, such as the 15th century church and the Templar Barracks which houses the museum of Intelligence Corps.
The EAC summer school is situated at Ashford School in very pleasant grounds in the heart of the town and within 1 kilometre of Ashford International Station. En-suite and standard single and twin accommodation is available. There are extensive sports facilities within the grounds.
