Residential ages: 12-18
Few cities around the world can match the excitement that New York City has to offer the visitors that pour into the airports and stations throughout the year. New York has a tradition, centuries old, of welcoming people from all the far corners of the planet; the result is the 21st century’s most cosmopolitan metropolis!
Architecture, art, music, sport, fashion, literature, food, whatever interests us, we are sure to be excited by what we see, hear and taste. There are so many famous things to see and do, stroll through Central Park, ride the Staten Island ferry to Manhattan, shop along Fifth Avenue or eat pancakes for breakfast. What is more even the first time visitor feels relaxed and at home in places that we have all seen in countless films and TV shows.
Voted the most beautiful campus in America by the Princetown Review, the 105 acre campus of Wagner College on Staten Island is just a 25 minutes free ferry ride from downtown Manhattan and all the excitement and vibrancy that New York City has to offer. Accommodation is predominantly in twin rooms, with some triples also available. All rooms are air-conditioned and many have stunning views across the harbour to Manhattan. All meals are taken in the superb main refectory where an ‘eat as much as you like’ system is in operation. Other campus facilities include sports hall, swimming pool, playing fields, library with internet access and the Gatehouse Lounge for relaxing and socialising.
