Portsmouth - University of Portsmouth
Residential ages 12 - 18
The EAC summer school at the University of Portsmouth takes place on the beautiful south coast of England overlooking the Solent, the Isle of White and the surrounding beautiful Hampshire countryside; all just a short journey from London and the main airports. Home to the British Royal Navy for more than 500 years, Portsmouth's mix of historic ships, castles, forts and museums make it one of the best holiday centres in which to explore the history of this seafaring nation. Charles Dickens was born in Portsmouth and is now celebrated at the Charles Dickens' Birthplace Museum. Portsmouth was also the place were Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created his most famous character, Sherlock Holmes.
