Staff & Safety
SAFE AND SOUND
At EAC we take the responsibility for our students extremely seriously - all aspects of safety are considered and we insist on the highest standards from our centres. EAC has fully qualified first aiders on site and all our centres have links with local dentists, doctors and hospitals.
The skill and enthusiasm of our dedicated staff has been the single most important factor behind our success. Their ability to motivate and relate to young people is second to none.
EAC staff go through a strict selection procedure, beginning with an interview. They are selected for their maturity, qualifications, enthusiasm, experience and common sense. At least two referees are contacted and asked to complete a confidential reference form. All relevant qualifications held by staff are also thoroughly checked for authenticity with the appropriate issuing organisation.
All our staff attend comprehensive pre-camp training and orientation days. These courses cover a range of topics, from security, fire drills, policies and procedures, to safety guidelines and site-specific risk assessments for every activity. Meetings with centre management team and staff take place on a daily basis and senior EAC managers visit each site regularly to ensure that our procedures are clearly understood and followed.
