Stoke-on-Trent is a unique city made up of six separate towns: Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley (the city centre), Stoke, Fenton and Longton - affectionately known as 'The Potteries'. The great names of English china are all here including Wedgewood, Spode and Royal Doulton. As well as many ceramic museums and factory shops, the city boasts excellent leisure, entertainment and shopping facilities. The city is ideally placed in the Heart of England and within easy reach of many exciting destinations including Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and Britain's number one theme park - Alton Towers.

The EAC summer school takes place at the Staffordshire University in Stoke-on-Trent, just 15 minutes walk from the city centre. The campus has superb facilities on site including excellent en-suite and standard accommodation, refectory, classrooms and IT facilities, large indoor sports hall, tennis courts, all weather 5-a-side football pitches, ample playing fields, student union disco and common rooms.
