Access to University Courses at Perth College, Perth
EAC is working in partnership with Perth College to offer you a wide range of high quality further education courses. Perth College believe that as students, you are only limited by your imagination - and whatever it is you want to do, they will assist you to achieve more.

Perth College is a modern campus offering excellent facilities. It is part of the UHI Millennium Institute and is a key partner in the establishment of The University of Highlands and Islands. It operates Access Courses, HNC and HND courses and Degree and Professional Qualifications in a diverse range of subjects.
Direct Progression to Degree Courses
All courses at Perth College last between one and two years and on successful completion can lead to second or third year entry on to related degree programmes. As soon as you settle into your course, discussions will begin as to the progression route you wish to undertake to obtain entry onto your chosen degree course at University. Please note that Perth College courses are accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), not the British Council.
Student Accommodation and Welfare
Perth College attracts students from all over the world. It has a good base of local hosts offering high quality homestay accommodation and, in addition, a new college residence with en-suite accommodation should be available from September 2009. The city and campus have a great range of sporting facilities, and with an active Student Association you can enjoy a busy social life. The college has excellent welfare support to assist in practical problems, academic concerns and personal issues.
English Language Requirements
All courses are in English. Therefore an IELTS score of 5.5 is required to start any course. If you need to improve your English skills prior to your course, you can do so at EAC's language school in Edinburgh. Also, supplementary on-going English courses are available at Perth College if you need to continue studying English alongside your academic course.

Executive Diploma in Management
If you already possess a relevant HND or Degree and some experience of work, you can enrol on this
18 month course, which includes the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Diploma, followed by the Executive Diploma in Management. Subjects covered include self-development, resource management, customer and quality requirements, information management, performance management, human resources and marketing. This Diploma can provide you with access to the final year of an MBA course.
Chartered Association of Certified Accountants - ACCA stage 2/3
This course is a 2 year full time course if you already hold an HND or degree in accounting. The ACCA qualification is renowned worldwide as a respected accountancy qualification. Topics studied include professional levels of taxation, financial reporting, financial management, corporate reporting, business analysis, advanced taxation and advanced audit and assurance.
Post Study Work Scheme
The Scottish Government’s Post Study Work Scheme (formerly called ‘Fresh Talent Working in Scotland’) welcomes people from around the world who want to live and work in Scotland. If you have been living in Scotland and studying at Perth College to HND level or above, you should be eligible to work in the UK for up to two years without a work permit.
