All bookings submitted to EAC are only accepted on receipt of written confirmation from EAC or its authorised representative. EAC shall be entitled to invoice for course fees at any time after the acceptance of the booking. A 20% deposit is due at the time of booking. Payment in full must be received a minimum of 28 days before the course start date, or immediately in the event of late bookings. All payments must be in UK Sterling, or in US dollars for USA centres. If payments are made in any other currency, and any balance still remains outstanding because of exchange rates, then the full payment of this balance is the responsibility of the client. All credit card payments incur a 2% surcharge on the total amount to be paid by credit card If payment is not made by the due date EAC shall be entitled to charge the client interest at the rate of 5% per annum above the base rate of HSBC plc until payment is made in full.
All cancellations must be made in writing and will be confirmed in writing by EAC. Cancellations are subject to the following charges:
• More than 90 days before arrival date £45 administration charge
• Between 90 days and 60 days before arrival date 25% of total fees
• Between 60 days and 7 days before arrival date 50% of total fees
• Less than 7 days before arrival date and non arrivals 100% of total fees
Where applicable, EAC will provide all necessary documentation to enable students to secure study visas for their programme. However, EAC can only provide such visa service on receipt of payment in full. Should a student be unsuccessful in their visa application, all fees apart from the administration charge will be refunded. EAC recommend students arrange full insurance cover against possible cancellation charges. Any alterations to bookings must be confirmed in writing. EAC reserve the right to charge a further administration charge of £45.
EAC reserve the right to refuse or exclude any person at any time prior to or during the operational dates of the centre if in the opinion of EAC, that person is incompatible with the general well-being and safe running of the centre. In this instance no refund will be given and any costs incurred, including any damage, will be passed on to the student or their parents or guardians, who will also be held responsible for any repatriation costs.
Arrangements and courses outlined in EAC publicity materials are given in good faith. However, courses, activities and timetables may be subject to change for reasons of safety, or in the event of unsuitable weather conditions or other factors, which may arise beyond our control. EAC reserve the right to change the particularities of courses, including changes to courses, venues, facilities or dates of programmes where circumstances beyond our control necessitate such changes or where the level of bookings received does not reach the minimum number required to operate a course viably. In this event EAC shall either provide comparable services or refund such part of that service which relates to the change. In either case, EAC’s liability shall cease and clients shall have no other or further claim against EAC. It is automatically assumed that pictures taken of students participating in activities or lessons can be used in future brochures and advertising material.
EAC reserve the right, by giving notice to clients at any time before the start date, to increase the price of the services being provided to reflect any increase in costs to EAC, which is due to factors beyond EAC’s control, such as, without limitations, significant increases in accommodation costs, transport costs, labour costs etc.EAC do not accept liability for personal injury or the death of any student unless caused by the proven negligence of EAC or its servants. EAC do not accept any liability for the loss or damage of any property belonging to students. EAC accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses in the event of cancellation (whether whole or part) or change due to delays in travel services, strikes, disasters, war or the threat of war, acts of terrorism within the UK or abroad, quarantine, weather, sickness or any event outside the control of the company.
Any complaints against any aspect of the services provided by EAC should be addressed in the first instance to the local representative on site. In the event that the matter is not resolved, the client or his agent should make an immediate complaint in writing to EAC’s head office. Such complaints will be investigated by the company and may be subject to an appropriate refund provided that the complaint is deemed to be valid, the complaint received within one month of the termination of the course, and that all fees and costs associated with the booking had been settled in full as laid out in the details above.
Company brochures, website and other publicity materials are the responsibility of EAC and the details are published in good faith as of August 2008. It is not issued on behalf of the schools or colleges therein.
