As a newly qualified CELTA graduate, where do I go now?
The answer is EAC! We are proud to announce that following successful completion of your CELTA course at either ELC Manchester or ELC York, two of our sister schools, we are able to offer you a guaranteed paid period of work.
How does this work?
EAC is one of the UK’s largest providers of Junior Vacation courses for young learners between the ages of 9 -17. We were the Language Travel Magazine’s ‘Best Junior Courses for under 18s’ award winners for 2010 and 2011.
EAC Vacation courses run between June and August, with a choice of 16 locations throughout the UK. We operate courses in premises such as private boarding schools, university campuses and our own year round schools. For full details please visit the ‘Young Learner’ section of our website.
EAC can offer from 3 to 6 weeks teaching work throughout July and August on a first come first serve basis, providing you meet the following criteria:
Please note that all of the positions available at our Summer Schools involve regular contact with and direct responsibility for children/young people under 18 years of age and as such are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Successful applicants may be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland or CRB Check.
EAC abide by the CRB Code of Practice. We have a policy on the recruitment of ex-offenders (available on request). Under the ROA 1974, having a criminal record will not be considered an automatic bar against obtaining a position. EAC will consider all applications on an individual basis.
